Nate Diaz will also don the hat of a promoter for the first time as he steps inside the boxing ring in his professional debut against Jake Paul inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The former UFC fighter will co-promote his boxing bout against Jake Paul with Real Fight Inc., his very own fight promotion.
Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz does not have a rematch clause involved. However, Diaz also added, “I want a rematch if I lose.”
Diaz has hinted at stepping into the promoter’s shoes following his fight against Jake Paul. The Stockton Native recently revealed his contract negotiations for the Jake Paul fight and shed light on his share in the revenue from the fight.
Nate Diaz and Jake Paul will share 50-50 from the PPV revenue
Both Diaz and Paul will pocket 50% of the PPV revenue each. Jake Paul, who is also co-promoting the fight under his banner, MVP, has become a huge source of revenue in the world of boxing. “Everything is down the middle,” Diaz said when asked about his revenue share from the fight.
The YouTuber-turned-professional boxer boasts the second-highest PPV buys for a boxing fight this year, behind Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia, which brought in 1.2 million PPV buys.

Jake Paul believes that the PPV numbers for his fight against Nate Diaz could shock everyone. While Paul’s PPV record fighting a former UFC fighter is not quite uplifting, his last fight against Tommy Fury stands to be a reminder of his star power.
Jake Paul’s fight against Tommy Fury brought in approximately 800k PPV buys, surprisingly more than Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford, which did little over 700k PPV buys, according to several reports.
“This is the most amount of interest we’ve had in terms of ticket sales, live gate. We’re pretty much all sold out. The highest average ticket prices for any of my fights.” Jake Paul said about the fight, while also adding he expects at least 400-500k PPV buys for his fight against Nate Diaz.
Nate Diaz has failed to hit the million mark in each of his UFC PPVs since Conor McGregor. While the Stockton native brings huge attention and fanbase to the sport, the PPV numbers haven’t been out of the ordinary. Whether or not he can pull it off with Jake Paul on the opposite side, only time will tell.
