Logan Paul and Dillon Danis’ fight was arguably the most hyped encounter at Saturday’s Misfits Boxing event. Everyone expected the match to be a closely fought contest, but fans witnessed a clear dominance by The Maverick as he demolished El Jefe.
The Impaulsive podcast co-host landed 108 punches on Danis, which clearly shows how dominant he was in the fight. But despite Logan’s impressive victory in their fight, fans have one complaint against the YouTuber turned pro wrestler, as they wanted him to KO his opponent.
Referring to how the social media star wasn’t able to KO Danis, an audience member said “Dillon didn’t fight back at all and Logan still couldn’t take him out.” “Dillon lost but Logan proved he’s overhyped,” a combat sports lover wrote while referring to El Jefe’s inexperience of fighting inside a boxing ring. While it’s true that a KO win for Paul would have been sweeter, at the end, what matters is coming out on top. As The Maverick came out victorious, he would surely be proud of his efforts. For those complaining about the way he won, it’s obvious that a win is a win, whether through knockout or some other method.
Logan Paul achieves a massive career feat by defeating Dillon Danis
Some of the audience members might not be happy that Logan won without KO, but The Maverick surely enjoyed this victory. The reason behind this is that Paul achieved a massive feat in his boxing career by defeating Dillon Danis, as it’s his first professional victory.
Before his match against El Jefe on October 14, Logan had a boxing experience of three matches. But he wasn’t able to win any of them. His first ever match was an unsanctioned bout against KSI, which ended in a draw.
When the two competed in a rematch on November 10, 2019, the YouTube sensation suffered a loss. After this fight, Paul entered the ring again on June 6, 2021, and it was against Floyd Mayweather. This encounter was also not a sanctioned one and ended in a draw.
Thus, after one professional boxing match and three matches in total, Logan’s record was 0-1-2. But with his victory over Dillon Danis, the Impaulsive podcast host has kicked off the victory count in his boxing career.
Now that Paul’s fight with Danis is in the history books, fans are asking if he’ll return to WWE. The Maverick himself announced about the same after his win, and therefore, it’ll be interesting to see when his return actually takes place.
