The most-awaited Misfits Prime Card event took place on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester. Among the other fights, the bout between Tommy Fury (with a boxing record of 10-0) and KSI (who has a boxing record of 4-1 and a no-contest) took many by surprise. It is because British boxer Fury was declared the winner by a majority decision in his fight against KSI.
It was a six-round match in Manchester, England, on Saturday night. However, this decision stirred controversy because some fans claimed that the results were unfair to ‘JJ’. Now, there’s another surprising twist to this. Recently, It turned out that there was a bit of a mix-up in the scoring process.
During the announcement, the 6ft Fury won by a majority decision with scores of 56-57, 56-57, and 57-57. But, as it happens, there was an error on one of the judge’s scorecards. Judge Rafael James mistakenly added up the numbers incorrectly, making it seem like a draw when it wasn’t.
The correct result should have been a unanimous decision in favor of the undefeated Tommy Fury, not a majority decision. This means that the judges had unanimously agreed on Fury’s victory, with a score of 57-56.
‼️ Tommy Fury’s win over KSI has now been CORRECTED to a unanimous decision, not a majority decision, because one of the judges’ scorecards was added up incorrectly. His card was announced as a 57-57 draw, when he actually scored it 57-56 to Fury – same as the other two judges.

This information went viral when Michael Benson, the editor of Talksport, pointed out on ‘X’ about the same. He wrote, “Tommy Fury’s win over KSI has now been CORRECTED to a unanimous decision, not a majority decision because one of the judges’ scorecards was added up incorrectly. His card was announced as a 57-57 draw when he actually scored it 57-56 to Fury – same as the other two judges.”
So, simply put, James scored four rounds for Fury and two for KSI but made an error in calculating the final tally on his scorecard, resulting in the wrong result being announced.
KSI points a finger at Tommy Fury post-fight
The boxing match at Manchester Arena disappointed many fans. The fighters’ performance didn’t make fans happy. It was expected to be an exciting boxing match but lacked good quality. Despite this, Tommy Fury made his undefeated record to 10-0 as a professional.
According to fans, his performance was less impressive than his victory over Jake Paul in February. After the fight, the CEO of Misfits boxing KSI didn’t hold back and took a swipe at Tommy Fury. He asserted in the post-fight interview, “That is a robbery, bro. How many jabs did you land? Look at your face; look at your eyes. I’m the YouTuber; you are the boxer, so you have to win?”
He suggested the decision as a “robbery” and expressed a desire for a rematch against Fury. On the other hand, Fury declared earlier that he will not participate in crossover boxing after this bout. Tommy Fury defended his win and countered KSI’s claims. He said in the post-fight interview, “At the end of the day, KSI is a sore loser.”
When questioned about the possibility of a rematch, Fury responded that he might think of a rematch. But to make that happen, the social media personality must have to change his behavior as he’s leading the fight now. Now that they have adjusted the results, KSI must feel even more frustrated because he experienced humiliation after the loss.
