Fans were left concerned by Rolly’s situation. One fan wrote, “Maaaan Rolly seems like a good dude. Idk why they’d even interview him after he got battered the entire fight and then finished.” Another fan wrote, “Why tf do you have to interview a dude with a concussion?” A third fan wrote, “Poor guy. Seems like a good du[d]e.”
On the other hand, “I was prepared for this,” said Cruz, according to Boxing Scene. “I wasn’t here to just fight; I was here to terminate him and make him eat everything he said.
“I am not here just as a very dangerous fighter. I now have a title that’s backing me up.”
25-year-old Cruz (26-2-1) won his first world title in his very first fight in the 140 lbs category. He has made it clear that he wants to fight all the big guns in the category. For Romero (15-2), however, this was the second big fight that he lost in his career after suffering a TKO against Gervonta Davis.
