Francis Ngannou is among the top MMA fighters, with a significant record of 17-3 in his career. However, he wasn’t satisfied with the restrictions that were brought to him in his latest UFC contract. It was back in January 2023 when Ngannou chose to take an exit from the UFC because of this reason. During the time of his departure, he was the reigning heavyweight champion.
Francis last fought inside the octagon against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. He retained his heavyweight title by winning the clash via unanimous decision. However, it didn’t turn fruitful, as he had to relinquish his title just after the fight.
After giving up on UFC, ‘The Predator‘ signed a contract with PFL in May, which made him eligible to fight as a professional boxer. And now, he’s scheduled to make his boxing debut against ‘The Gypsy King’ Tyson Fury. The 37-year-old Ngannou always wanted to enter the boxing ring. That is why he’s extremely excited for his upcoming clash, which will take place on October 28 in Saudi Arabia.
Recently, The Schmo interviewed renowned DJ and Music producer Steve Aoki in the Las Vegas arena where the clash between Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo took place. The 45-year-old Steve was asked about his opinion on Francis Ngannou training with Mike Tyson for his debut fight. The 57-year-old Mike is the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time and he’s currently supporting the Cameroon-born Francis for his fight.
Steve during his conversation with The Schmo revealed, “That’s going to be interesting…Francis has got a real serious punch, and you have Mike Tyson, I watched them you know train, I’m like I know it’s going to be good”. Steve Aoki further showed his excitement for the bout.
Not only Steve but also fans are eager to witness the upcoming battle between the top two fighters. It would be the second time after Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor that two excellent fighters from the UFC and boxing will face each other inside the ring.

Steve Aoki, while talking to The Schmo, revealed his likeness to boxing legend Tyson Fury. Through the conversation, he asserted the greatness of Fury inside the ring. Tyson Fury, who stands tall at 6 feet 9 inches, is a British boxer. He holds a solid record of 33-0-1 in his boxing career. The record highlights the fact that he has remained undefeated till now.
According to Steve, no matter who’s training Francis Ngannou for his upcoming fight, it will be Tyson Fury who emerges victorious. He stated, “I think of course, he’s going to hit him a few times, but Tyson Fury is like unbeatable, unbeatable, literally, like you know he’s just like, he might, he might hit him a couple of times… but it’s Tyson ‘furious’ fight… there’s nothing you can do with Tyson Fury”.
The 35-year-old Fury holds the current WBC heavyweight title, and it’s been 4 years since he has it.
