SUMMARY
- Jake Paul has become one of the most talked-about stars in boxing, with only eight wins in his career.
- GSP's coach accused The Problem Child of using PEDs before his first fight with Tyron Woodley.
Jake Paul has become one of the biggest stars in boxing even with a record of 8 wins and 1 loss. Now it’s hard to argue against the fact that Jake’s box office power has decreased significantly since his loss to Tommy Fury.
Jake Paul’s last fight against Andre August was not as big as his past fights against former UFC champions. And his next fight against Ryan Bourland is certainly missing the hype The Problem Child needs to sell record-breaking PPVs.
It’s needless to say that, Jake is certainly taking the right steps to achieve his goal of becoming a boxing world champion. However, one allegation has often discredited his stunning knockout wins throughout his boxing career.
PED allegations against Jake Paul
Jake Paul raised many eyebrows when he started knocking UFC legends out early in his boxing career. The Problem Child shocked everyone when he knocked out Ben Askren.
After his brutal knockouts, famous MMA coach Firas Zahabi said that Jake was using steroids for his boxing fights. Firas Zahabi was arguably the most prominent figure in the world of combat sports and publicly accused Jake Paul of taking steroids. Before his fight against Tyron Woodley, he stated:
“I hate to say it, but I think Jake Paul is going to be on PEDs..When I say he’s bigger and stronger, and he’s more athletic, I think he’s basically on PEDs.”

Jake criticized Firas Zahabi and has denied every steroid allegation made against him throughout his career. MMA fans are finally giving The Problem Child credit for his knockout power after his back-to-back impressive performances inside the boxing ring.
Jake Paul proved the doubters wrong by knocking down some of the toughest fighters in MMA, such as Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva. And with every single fight, Jake Paul’s boxing is steadily improving along with his KO ability.
Georges St-Pierre had nothing but praises for Jake Paul
Unlike Firas Zahabi, his student and former UFC two-division champion, Georges St-Pierre praised the Problem Child for his insane achievements in boxing. After Paul’s win over UFC legend Anderson Silva, GSP praised him and stated:
“I’m extremely impressed by Jake Paul’s performance. He showcased once again that he has improved a lot since his last fight.”
GSP also praised Jake Paul for not falling for Anderson Silva’s trap and only headhunting throughout the fight. In the end, it was a comfortable win for the Problem Child with one knockdown in the later rounds.

Jake Paul’s physique has changed significantly throughout the years. However, PED accusations sound a little unfair. It has to be noted that Paul has trained with the best coaches and sparring partners throughout his boxing career in the last few years.
To refute the PED allegations, Jake Paul even took the VADA drug test before his fight against Nate Diaz. And the negative result of the drug test certainly convinced many fans that Jake Paul is not on steroids.
However, some fans doubt the authenticity of the VADA doping tests by comparing them with the UFC’s drug tests, formerly done by the USADA.
