The four-time consecutive winner of Mr. Olympia, Chris Bumstead, is known as the king of the Classic Physique division. Just weeks before the upcoming 2023 Mr. Olympia competition, the legend elaborated on his full-day meal routine, consisting of six meals.
Chris Bumstead knows what it takes to be a Champion, and he never compromises on that. Aiming for his fifth consecutive Mr. Olympia title, Bumstead is focused on proper training and following a legit diet. In a recent video shared on his YouTube channel, Cbum gave his audience a glimpse at his full-day diet.
With the 2023 Mr. Olympia competition just around the corner, the 28-year-old is officially in full contest prep mode. The bodybuilder consumer has made a major cutback in his overall caloric intake.
How Chris Bumstead eats six meals a day to stay shredded
Chris Bumstead’s day begins with his first meal, which consists of 619 calories, 64 grams of protein, 54 grams of carbs, and 14 grams of fat. He makes protein pancakes of 150 grams, egg whites of 2/3 cup, 70 grams (3/4 cup) of oats, two whole eggs, 1 scoop of collagen, 1 scoop of Sunfiber, 1 scoop of whey protein powder supplement, and 40 grams (1/4 cup) of pumpkin puree. He complements his meal with 25 milliliters of monk fruit-sweetened maple syrup.
His second meal of the day is consumed around 11:30 a.m. It consists of 200 grams of white rice, shredded lettuce, 180 grams of white fish, and sliced cucumbers. He dressed it up with fresh lemon juice, coconut aminos, and organic honey Dijon mustard. Cbum’s trainer has increased his meals from five to six. He has also reduced the protein from 220 grams to 180 per meal.

“I need it because the hungrier I get the more soon I want to eat my meals,” explained Bumstead. His third meal consists of 200 grams of white potatoes and 180 grams of 99% lean ground turkey. He spiced up the food using ketchup and sriracha. This meal helps him gain energy for a cardio workout, as it consists of 360 calories.
Next is his fourth meal, which consists of 200 grams of white fish, white rice, shredded lettuce, broccoli slaw, and sliced baby cucumber. He consumes this after an hour-long cardio session, and therefore he keeps it similar to his second meal to gain recovery. He consumes 434 calories in total.

He also adds snacks in between his fourth and fifth meals, satisfying his sweet tooth. During this meal, he usually eats Ninja CREAMi, using water and his signature dark chocolate whey protein powder. After that, he consumes his fifth meal, which includes 200 grams of wild-caught cod, shredded lettuce, and 150 grams of white rice. It’s very similar to his previous meal but has a good source of protein.
Cbum’s sixth and final meal of the day is 200 grams of steak. He focuses on giving his muscles much-needed protein and amino acids. Throughout his day, the legendary bodybuilder consumes a total of 2,730 calories, 257 grams of carbs, 31 grams of fat, and 330 grams of protein.
Cbum aims to win his fifth consecutive title by claiming his Classic Physique division crown in the upcoming 2023 Mr. Olympia competition. And the legend sure isn’t leaving any loose ends, as he is coming with a stronger and bigger physique.
