Bumstead continued, “When I do, if anything, it now gives me that three months after a show to really just relax and let my body recover because I’m not anxiously being like, ‘I need to be huge.’ So, I need every second I have, I’m like, I can take the time off, relax, get into it”. He emphasized that whenever he takes performance-enhancing drugs, it is to relax his body and mind.
Furthermore, Chris Bumstead has arguably shown his best performance each year and set the tone of the contest right. Therefore, it is not a surprise that he makes use of PEDs sometimes to help him relax after putting his body through so much. However, with his revelation that he has brought down the number, it is likely that aspiring bodybuilders will get inspired by him for this.
Chris Bumstead revealed his plans for Mr. Olympic 2023
On the Raw U podcast, Chris Bumstead could not help but give a peak into his plan for the upcoming Mr. Olympic 2023. Hany Rambod expressed that he feels that it would be best for Chris if he drops down to 255-258 lbs in the off-season. Notably, Rambod is the famous coach who also trained with Bumstead in 2022. He significantly helped him win the title.
Furthermore, Bumstead spoke about body weight and said, “That’s only 25 pounds over my weight cap at what I typically compete at, but I still want to be less than that”. He added that he has the muscle maturity, and size, and can maintain a leaner body. Bumstead emphasized that he intended to keep the same amount of mass. Additionally, after controlling the diet, it would be easier to be lean.
For the upcoming Mr. Olympic 2023, Bumstead is planning to put on body fat and revealed that it is fairly easy for him to do this as well. However, he candidly said, “I’m not happy about that because I don’t like eating. I’m already just beginning my off-season now, barely eating like over 4,000 calories and I’m like, ‘Oh man, fu** I got to eat again?’ You know, it’s already there”.
Chris Bumstead, with all honesty, spoke about how this is a benefit of the classic physique for this year. Chris also spoke about how he hopes that he comes off in the best condition. He revealed that the difference between the past and this time is that he is preparing earlier rather than crushing at the last moment. This has surely set the fans on the full level of excitement to witness his jaw-dropping physique this year.
