Meanwhile, it caught the attention of many fans, who took to their social media handles to comment on Danielson performing the yes chant himself. It seems fans hilarious stated that the AEW star will now have to put a fine on himself. One fan commented, “Uh oh. Bryan is gonna FINE HIMSELF now!!”

Thus, it seems Bryan Danielson performing the forbidden ‘yes‘ chant drew a lot of reaction from the fans. With that, now it remains to be seen if the AEW star, himself will have anything to comment on the situation.
Why Bryan Danielson is not allowed to do the ‘yes’ chant?
Bryan Lloyd Danielson aka Bryan Danielson is currently a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW). However, previously, he was a member of the WWE roster, where fans knew him by the name of Daniel Bryan. During his time in WWE from 2009 to 2021, Bryan rose to prominence and this is also where his ‘yes’ chants gained popularity.
However, he later walked out of the Stamford-based promotion. Meanwhile, since the famous ‘yes’ chant originated in the Triple H-led promotion, the chant became WWE’s intellectual property. With that, after coming into the Tony Khan-led promotion, Danielson addressed the curiosity surrounding his famous chant.
He stated that it was awesome when the fans did it. However, he mentioned that he would have to talk about it, whether he would be able to perform the chants or not in his new promotion. He added that he was unsure of the possibility of doing the chants.
Danielson continued “One of the things that I do try to respect is because like I said, I appreciate the people I worked for before and respecting their intellectual property and that sort of thing. And so, try making sure I don’t contradict any of that. Fans doing it is great, but I’m not sure if I’m doing it.”
With that, since Danielson walked into the Tony Khan-led promotion, he never performed the ‘yes’ chants. However, he recently gave in and did the chants along with the audience on the December 16, 2023 episode of AEW Collision. With that, fans will now look forward to seeing if WWE will take any step against the AEW star in the upcoming days.
