Aliyah Boston is now in a whole new phase in life as she was drafted No.1 overall during the 2023 WNBA Draft. Being selected literally above everyone else comes with a lot of pressure. Several players have folded under the pressure of expectations. Athletes don’t often bring out their best versions after going pro. But it seems as though Boston has her eyes set on the prize, to become one of the greatest WNBA players ever.
The Indiana Fever adopted her into their family and there couldn’t have been a more perfect match. Aliyah is well known for her outstanding defensive presence on the court, which earned her a good reputation. She was named the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 and won the NCAA title the same year. Boston was dubbed the NCAA’s Most Outstanding Player as well for her excellence.
Boston was sensational for the Indiana Fever in the 2023 season. She averaged 14.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. That earned her the esteemed Rookie of the Year award too, despite Fever’s failure to make it to the 2023 WNBA playoffs.
Aliyah Boston was worth $2 million as of 2023
Aliyah Boston has racked up quite a sum of money over the last few years. She is currently worth approximately $2 million as of 2023. Her worth skyrocketed mainly due to her outstanding work on the basketball court. Boston has also represented the United States across the world as well. She won the gold medal by participating in the FIBA U-17, U-19, U-16 Americas and AmeriCup.
A good sum of her earnings also came from her NIL deals. The Indiana Fever forward signed with several big names in the world of sports, such as Under Armour and Dick’s Sporting Goods.
