It's safe to say that Conor McGregor is basking in the glory of his initial success in the UFC.
One can even say that Conor McGregor's memory as an elite mixed martial artist is only limited to his run at the featherweight division.
Conor McGregor has just a single win in the UFC's lightweight division, which came against Eddie Alvarez.
He has lost all of his lightweight bouts since then. He dropped a submission loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, and then back-to-back TKO losses to Dustin Poirier.
It won't be wrong to say that Conor McGregor is not a natural welterweight. He looks smaller in comparison to other welterweights in the UFC, and it's quite evident that his power at this weight class isn't what it used to be in the featherweight division.
However, McGregor continues to tease a move to the Welterweight by sharing his body transformation from time to time.
It's hard to concretely say that McGregor will, because looking at his recent performances, it doesn't look like he is as elite a mixed martial artist as he used to be.
