Ash Barty to Participate in a Celebrity Golf Event after Tennis Retirement

Former tennis world number one Ashleigh Barty would be playing in a celebrity golf exhibition tournament.

This news has heightened the speculation that Ashleigh Barty may be thinking about starting her career in golf.

The professional tennis fraternity was stunned when they heard that Barty would be retiring from professional tennis.

The icon tennis tournament organizers said that Barty would be participating in their tournament.

They said, “We’re thrilled to launch the Icons Series in America with a Mount Rushmore of the world’s best athletes, all incredible golfers and fierce competitors,”

US Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya are the other participants alongside Ashleigh Barty.

“I’m excited to be part of the Icons Series and I hope through my participation in the series that we can encourage more women and girls to participate in golf around the world,” said Barty.
