Kamaru Usman Exposes Conor McGregor's Media Tactics to Stay Relevant

Recently, Conor McGregor said that he wants to fight Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title.

McGregor even claimed that Usman is not a threat to him inside the octagon.

It's needless to say that, Kamaru Usman is interested in a super fight against Conor McGregor.

However, Usman is aware of why McGregor has been calling him out lately. As per the champion, McGregor is doing it to stay relevant.

"You forget. But this is why you forget. This guy is relevant. This guy has not done anything in the sport as of late. In order to be relevant, he has to try to attach his name to someone who is relevant. That's what the media don't understand."- Kamaru Usman on McGregor

Conor McGregor has been away from the sport since his trilogy against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

It seems McGregor has recovered from the leg injury he suffered at UFC 264. And recently, McGregor had his first boxing sparring session.

However, whether he is ready to compete inside the octagon this year is still unknown.

Dana White has stated earlier that Conor McGregor is likely to make his return this Summer. Moreover, UFC is also targetting Jones vs Miocic for this summer as well.

What do you think about this welterweight matchup between McGregor and Usman? Should McGregor move up to welterweight on his UFC return?
