This surprised the 54-year-old, who was left confused by the demand. The bizarre comment gave birth to a series of trolls aimed at the UFC President, who wasn’t able to shrug off the constant bombardment he faced online. Although White didn’t get the humor behind the trend at first, he was quick to adapt and got along with the jokes made at his expense.
With no UFC 300 main event in sight, Fans bombard Dana White with “Oil him up” comments
Dana White was part of UFC interviewer Nina Marie Daniele’s Instagram post. In which Nina claimed that the UFC president would be announcing the much-anticipated UFC 300 main event if the post got 10K comments. The post quickly blew up to much more than the requirement, and fans further demanded that White announce the main event or stick to his commitment to be oiled up.
Although the criteria were met, Dana seemed to have pranked the audience as the match was still to be announced. The MMA community took to their Instagram handle, with one user posting, “There’s not enough oil in Saudi Arabia for what we’re going to do to you, Dana”.
This was followed by a series of similar remarks, such as “No UFC 300 announcement = Oil” and “Dana you getting oiled up for no 300”. Fans are taking shots at White for not sticking to his commitment and announcing his other venture shows, such as Power Slap, instead.
The possible reason for Dana White not announcing the UFC 300 main event yet
While Dana White did commit to announcing the historic main event soon, there can be many factors due to which the fans are still waiting. A major one could be the magnitude of the event, which demands a lot from the MMA community’s perspective. White has previously shared that he is still working on the many options available to make the bout worth the occasion.

This could also be a marketing tactic used by the boss to keep UFC 300 in trend, which is still nearly three months away. Dana White has commented that the matchup will blow fans’ expectations and will be one that they deserve. With so many speculations, the moment couldn’t be much more intense for Dana to deliver on his promises.
