Sinner had thanked his family during the prize ceremony in Melbourne. He had spoken about how lucky he was to have them on his journey to becoming a professional player.
Sinner’s victory was watched by his family members, including his adopted brother, Mark Sinner. Both siblings have a strong bond between them. Even though they could not spend much time during childhood, they keep in touch every day.
Where is Mark Sinner from and his childhood with Jannik Sinner
Mark joined the Sinner family when he was nine months old. He was born in Rostov, Russia, in 1998 and is three years older than his brother. He was adopted as Johann Sinner, and Siglinde Sinner believed that they could not have children. Mark currently works as a fire brigade instructor in Vilpiano, South Tyrol.
The 25-year-old watched his brother lift the Australian Open on television while he was in Italy as the head of health and safety for the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup. The siblings keep in touch almost every day and spend time skiing while they meet. Mark has revealed that his brother has been calm and quiet since childhood and has inherited his parents’ personalities.
Even though the brothers used to fight while they were children, it did not continue for long. They used to play tennis together, and Mark used to beat Sinner. They could not spend much time together, as Sinner had to move away from family when he was 14 to build his tennis career. The siblings play golf and go for long walks in the mountains whenever they meet.
Jannik Sinner’s parents, and what do they do?
Sinner’s parents, Johann Sinner and Siglinde Sinner, have been under the spotlight ever since the Australian Open this year. The 22-year-old had spoken about his parents giving him complete freedom during his teenage years, which has helped him grow as an individual. The Italian’s father, Johann, used to work as a chef at the Talschlusshütte refuge in Val Fiscalina.
Johann worked at the ski lodge at Val Fiscalina for over two decades. Meanwhile, Sinner’s mother, Siglinde, worked as a waitress at the ski lodge at Val Fiscalina and even taught skiing for a while. It was during those days that Sinner developed a passion for skiing and spent most of his time in the mountains. Johann and Siglinde never restrained their children from playing all kinds of games.
Their couple never made the decisions for the children and wanted them to pursue their passions. Sinner’s success hasn’t changed the lifestyle of the family. The brothers are busy in their profession and make use of the family time they get together. It will be a few more months before Mark and Sinner can spend some time together with their parents.
