SUMMARY
- Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is in early access.
- However, the game has already run into trouble and has been taken back.
Rocksteady Studio’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is up for a rough star. The game has rolled out for early access ahead of the official launch. However, things did not go quite how the devs planned, due to which the game had to be pulled down merely one hour after release.
The game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Games launches on February 2, 2024. Ahead of the launch, the game was open for pre-ordering in two different editions, namely Standard and Deluxe. Players who preordered the Deluxe edition were entitled to get three-day early access beginning January 30, 2024. As a result, the early access was rolled out in certain regions including New Zealand where it’s already January 30, 2024.
Suicide Squad Kill the Justice taken down from early access
Merely a few hours after the early access of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League was launched, the developers posted a tweet on their official (formerly Twitter) account. In the post, they acknowledged that they were aware of the issues faced by players in New Zealand.
We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion.
To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers.

The post read, “We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion.” They further added that they are taking down the game to carry out maintenance activity on the game’s servers. “To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers,” they added
They also stated that during this time the game will be unavailable for all players, saying, “During this time the game will be unavailable. We expect this to take several hours and will update once we have more information.” Rocksteady Studios mentioned that the game will be down for “several hours.” They ended the post by apologizing for the inconvenience.
What problem did Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League have?
Unfortunately, the game kept locking players out of all story missions. This included tutorials, as well as ruining any relevant paths for trophy or achievement completion, and races to reach the game’s end credits. Notably, currently, only a couple of territories have access to the game after its midnight local time release.
It is not clear yet how widespread this bug is, however considering that Rocksteady took the huge step of taking the game down just an hour after launch, it does seem that the situation is pretty serious.
Although it is unfortunate for a game to be taken down in such a way. However, players can be assured that they will probably be fixed in time for the game’s full release on February 2, 2024.
