The former 6x NBA Champion was and is still considered the biggest icon from North Carolina. Over a decade ago, Vince McMahon and his WWE organization were set to host an edition of Raw at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte. Since Jordan was a big part of the sports community in Charlotte at the time, Vince thought of it as a great idea to ask the legend to host the show.
Michael Jordan was the owner of the Charlotte Hornets at the time and he still was praised by natives of North Carolina. Jordan was also a budding businessman making waves in the industry. Unfortunately, Vince never heard from the former Chicago Bulls player according to Examiner.com. However, the WWE has collaborated with multiple NBA stars since then and each appearance was well received by fans.
