It’s usually said that the internet is a weird place, and a recent incident once again has proved it true. Over the years, a lot of people have gone viral on social media for strange reasons. And in a similar way, an Indiana high school athlete, Noah Knigga, has become the talk of the town over the last few weeks.
The Lawrenceburg High School student made it into the headlines due to his last name, as people all across the internet started wondering how to pronounce it. As handles on social platforms started using it for memes, the topic became globally known in just a matter of time.
In fact, this question reached such virality that 33-year-old NFL legend Robert Griffin III took notice of the topic. To clear out all the confusion about the name of Indiana H.S. Sports’ linebacker, the American footballer had an interview with Knigga and his family for the answer of this.

During the conversation, Noah Knigga and his family members clarified that the last name is pronounced “Ka-nay-guh.” In addition to this, the young athlete’s father revealed that he didn’t think anyone has gotten mad about their name ever before, but he’s often been asked questions.
Aside from this, the former NFL star asked the three-star linebacker about how the whole experience has been after he went viral on social media. Answering this, the football and basketball player said that his accounts have been flooded with people inquiring about different things. Looking at his answer, it’s obvious that he enjoyed it.
What are Noah Knigga’s future plans?
During the interview, Noah revealed how people have been asking to get their hands on some apparel. To which, the NFL legend gave a hilarious merchandise idea, to him. “I think you should get a couple T-shirts that say ‘Knigga Please.’ I think it would be hilarious.”
But, Knigga shared that he would surely love to fulfill their demand, but he’s gotta make sure about his eligibility with the Indiana High School Athletic Association. The rules in Indiana, doesn’t allow name, image, and likeness monetization at the high school level. And that’s why he’ll probably have to talk with officials before doing anything due to people’s demands.
