The UFC fighter took a jab at Mayweather, who reported back in 2017 that he made $250 million for fighting McGregor. Since the reports, many fans and experts have claimed that these figures are not true and are inflated. Among many, Chael Sonnen spoke the loudest about his appearance on Andrew Schulz‘s podcast. He boldly stated that it was a joke by Floyd and his team to put these numbers out.
The $250 million figure is also thrown around for a potential boxing fight between Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao. Although nothing concrete has been announced, McGregor was also making noise about this potential fight during the Day of Reckoning event.
Cristiano Ronaldo uploaded the same picture with Conor McGregor and issued a caption challenge
Conor McGregor is rumored to make his return to the UFC at the monumental UFC 300. As part of his promotion, the former two-division champ is posting engaging and controversial stuff on his social media accounts. Fans are hoping that this jab will prompt Mayweather to step into a UFC ring to face McGregor and headline yet another monumental night of combat sports.
Ronaldo used the same picture to issue a caption challenge for his fans on his Instagram. The Al-Nassr superstar uploaded this picture and captioned it: “Best caption wins.” Naturally, thousands of comments were made by fans around the globe.

While Conor McGregor posted his response on ‘X’, the rest of the fans commented on their captions on Instagram. Among the many, two comments stood out. First made fun of the current manager of Manchester United, Erik ten Hag. The comment read: “And they said, ‘I was the problem.'” The comment took a cheeky jab at the underperforming Manchester United, who are struggling in the second season of the Dutch manager.
Ronaldo left Manchester United after a public spat with the Dutch boss, and many experts and fans pointed out that the Portuguese was the problem. However, Ronaldo has moved on from the English club, but United is still underperforming. The comment on the Dutch boss gained more than 26,000 likes on the post.
The other comment that stole the limelight and won the competition with more than 50,000 likes was a jab at Lionel Messi. The comment read: “When they said Messi is better than Ronaldo.” This comment was a low-hanging fruit for all the Ronaldo fans, who again echoed their sentiment that Ronaldo is superior to Messi. While the comment was surface-level, it still managed to gain huge attention from other Ronaldo fans.
