After a bang on Chapter 4, Fortnite Chapter 5 has arrived bringing along heaps of content. And developer Epic Games is leaving no stone unturned by pulling out all the stops to stay ahead in the market. It has put all the studios it has acquired over the years to build some of the new and iconic mode.
After a highly successful Fortnite OG season, the game concluded it with The Big Bang event. The even had Rap God Eminem himself performing while the game introduced skins dedicated to the rapper.
Recently they launched a brand new game mode LEGO Fortnight which is a sandbox open-world experience. The. It announced the Fortnite Festival mode which is a music mode developed by Rock Band creator Harmonix.
And the latest addition is Fortnite Rocket Racing, developed by Rocket League’s developer Psyonix. Interestingly all these three games are available to play Fortnite itself and are absolutely free.
Cars Available in Fortnite Rocket Racing
There are predominantly three components of Rocket Racing cars, namely, cars, decals, and wheels. Players can buy these parts, or get them from the Fortnite Battle Pass. Currently, the game is still in season zero and a lot of addition are yer to be made according to the developers.
Here are all of the confirmed Rocket League cars in Fortnite Rocket Racing, that are available at launch:
- Scorpion (Battle Pass)
- Cyclone (unlocked in Rocket League)
- Jager 619 (unlocked in Rocket League)
- Octane (unlocked in Rocket League)
- Lamborghini Huracan STO (unlocked in Rocket League and Item Shop)
The official blog by Epic Games mentions, that all players will have a locker in Fortnite. Similarly there will be a Cars section where players can equip themselves with a car to use in Rocket Racing.
Will Rocket League cars be available in Rocket Racing?
Since Rocket League and Rocket Racing are both developed by the same developer, Psyonix, they have introduced the feature of car sharing between the two games. Thus the cars that players own in Rocket League will also be available to them in Fortnite Rocket Racing. However, players must make sure to use the same Epic Games account to play the two games.
The Epic Games blog states, “If you own the Octane, Cyclone, Jäger 619, or Lamborghini Huracán STO Car Bodies in Rocket League, you also own them in your Fortnite Locker! You also own certain Decals and Wheels you may own in Rocket League. Just make sure you’re playing Fortnite with the same Epic Games account you use to play Rocket League.”
An X leaker named ‘iFireMonkey’ reportedly says that the Rocket Racing Lamborghini will be arriving at the Item Shop on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Thus players who don’t have the car unlocked in Rocket League can keep a close eye on the Item Shop rotation in a couple of weeks to acquire the vehicle.
If a player buys the car in Fortnite, it will unlock in Rocket League as well. This will follow for almost all Rocket Racing Rocket League skins. However, the leaker adds that this may not be the case with every item.
