The world and the gaming community are all set to witness the debut trailer of GTA 6. As the confirmation has arrived, that hasn’t stopped the stream of leaks surrounding the game. Meanwhile, more evidence has emerged of discarded plans for Grand Theft Auto 5 story DLC along with Bully 2.

A new leak has surfaced online from a database file for Grand Theft Auto 5. Needless to say, the community is at it, who are digging into the database. An X (formerly Twitter) user named ‘Liam’ reveals that the file discovered and leaked by GTA data miners includes a reference to the unreleased Bully 2.
Is Bully 2 on the cards?
Interestingly, GTA 5 leaks have given rise to leaks regarding Bully 2. For the unknown, Bully is Rockstar’s 2006 game. It is about a juvenile delinquent student called James ‘Jimmy’ Hopkins. Jimmy rises through the ranks of Bullworth Academy. Fans of the series have been demanding the sequel for a long time now. Reports suggest that the sequel was once in development at Rockstar’s New England studio during the late 2000s.
Although Bully 2 was never released, some of the ideas from the game came to life in other Rockstar games like Red Dead Redemption 2. Liam in their post, added that the database file includes a reference to GTA 5 playable character Trevor with a jetpack. The description suggests story mode DLC may have been repurposed into GTA Online.
Cut #GTAV Story Mode DLC is further confirmed thanks to the PDB leak with a string relating to Trevor and a jet pack. The Doomsday Heist was definitely a rework of it.

Back in 2018, Rockstar unveiled GTA Online’s Doomsday Heist missions along with the Thruster, which is a jetpack that’s still exclusive to the multiplayer mode to this day. Notable, GTA 5 never received any story DLC, in spite of fans continually asking for it. Instead, Rockstar chose to focus on money-spinner GTA Online, which launched a decade ago and is still going pretty strong.
Similarly, another user, ‘Glow’ reveals a reference to CNC. It is thought to relate to the Cops ‘n’ Crooks mode, which was reportedly planned for GTA Online. However, it was canned post the controversial murder of George Floyd by a police officer in 2020.
That being said, all these are merely past content possibilities. With Rockstar now focusing mainly on GTA 6, it’s unsure if Bully 2 will ever see the light of day. Nonetheless, the leaks have given some hope to GTA and Bully fans who are now wondering what it could have been if Rockstar had taken a different path and had actually released GTA 5 story mode DLC and Bully 2.
