With the Las Vegas Grand Prix just a week away, recent pictures have surfaced of the kerbs on the track. Its safe to say that F1 and the organizers have done a good job on the kerbs.
The inaugral Las Vegas Grand Prix is turning out to be one of the most glamorous F1 events ever. With F1 trying to increase their viewership in the US, they have decided to host 3 Grand Prix in the country. The first was the Miami Grand Prix which was added to the calendar last year, the next was the US Grand Prix in Austin, and now the inaugral Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The first pictures of the kerbs at the Las Vegas Street Circuit have been released and it looks amazing. They have placed the 4 suits of a regular set of playing cards on the alternating colors of the kerbs. This has been done as they are racing in Vegas where gambling on card games like poker and blackjack are very popular. It is currently unclear if the Las Vegas themed kerbs are for all kerbs or only selected corners.

There are a number of other things we can expect at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. We are yet to see how F1 utilizes the Vegas Dome to advertize the sport. We may not see huge advertisements on the dome durin the race as it could be distracting for the F1 drivers. However, we could see some during the breaks.
A opening ceremony before the weekend begins has already been announced. There will be a number of performers during this ceremony including the Blue Man Group and Cirque de Soleil. Although the names have not been announced yet, we could see a couple of famous artists on stage for their musical performances.
How many corners will the Las Vegas Grand Prix have?
The layout of the Las Vegas Grand Prix is not very technical. Although the Las Vegas Street Circuit has 17 corners. However, the track also has 3 long straights which could prove to give oppurtunities for the drivers to overtake.
The corners are not ery technical corners as it is a street circuit. The Las Vegas Grand Prix is one that is for the fans. The drivers may not enjoy the layout of the track, but will enjoy the scenery and the crowd that come along with it. However, as the cars will be travelling at over 200 miles per hour, the drivers may not ahve enough time to take in the scenery.
“I don’t even know where I’m going!” 😂

The weather for the race is expected to be the coldest in F1 history. So far, the coldest race in F1 history was 5 degrees celcius in Canada in 1978. The weather for the las Vegas Grand Prix is expected to be only 4 degrees Celcius. Since the Grand Prix is taking place late night, there will be no sun to warm up the track.
The weather could make the new circuit challenging for the drivers. In order to get the best grip out of the tires, the drivers will need to keep them warm. This will prove to be challenging due to the weather. The modern F1 tires are much more sensitive than the tires used in the 1970s. This should make the opening lap of the Grand prix quite exciting and unpredictable.
