The Mercedes has seen worse last season but this season has not given them much to go with either. Although they made a great comeback as a team this season leaving Ferrari behind, the team has barely managed to hold up that position.
The team started off slow and dealt with many technical issues. However, Lewis Hamilton has now complained about yet another barrier that can stop them from getting good scores.
When talking about the car, Hamilton did not seem satisfied with the performance that it gave. Moreover, the champion had a few more issues that he needed to let his team know. He said, “It’s going to be a real challenge with that car tomorrow. We’re overheating, brakes are overheating. It’s going to be very hard for us to battle for sure.”

According to the 7-time World Champion, the car is in no state to compete, let alone get them a podium finish. Although Hamilton has driven the car to podiums even when the car was not up to par, it seems tough for him. After facing a disqualification and almost coming close to serving a penalty this weekend, there seems to be a lot for the driver to unpack.
Nonetheless, Lewis Hamilton hopes to see more improvement in their pace like at COTA. As for the Mercedes driver, he will be starting his race from a P6.
Lewis Hamilton turns another Red Bull Junior into his fan
Lewis Hamilton has become a name that many know even with no knowledge about the sport. The name in itself has become a brand that many know as soon as it’s mentioned.
The seven-time champion has had a huge influence on the youngsters who are now training to enter Formula 1. Additionally, he has done a lot for the sport and has continued holding decade-long records.
So there was no doubt that the new Red Bull juniors would not fanboy over their idol. The first time that this happened was when a hilarious video of Liam Lawson calling himself Lewis Hamilton went viral. However, this time around, it was another AlphaTauri junior, Isack Hadjar.
“I want to wave at Lewis!” 🥺
Okay @AlphaTauriF1, we’re going to need another session for @IGK_Zack6 so he can wave to @LewisHamilton some time! 👋#MexicoGP #F1 @Formula2 pic.twitter.com/lioOpqHJaj

He joined the AlphaTauri team at the Free Practice sessions on Friday and got a chance to drive the car himself. His debut practice in F1 was interrupted when he was told that Lewis Hamilton was approaching from the back.
Instead of panicking the first time, the rookie kept his cool and asked his team, “I want to wave at Lewis!” However, his engineer denied him of it saying, “We will wave at Lewis next time.”
The face of F1 and the star of the show left juniors wanting to wave at him. Many young drivers on the grid too have mentioned the influence Hamilton has had on their career.
