Erling Haaland is a definite star of the future and more than his goal-scoring exploits his hair has made a lot of headlines. After a tough start to the UEFA Champions League this season, the Norwegian scored two second-half-time goals to break his duck.
After the match, the Golden Boot winner was flaunting his long golden hair. This moment was captured and posted on the UEFA Champions League social media with the caption “Slay”.
Fans were quick to comment on the post saying things like-“What’s admin up to?”, “Still a ghost”, “Slaying on Wednesday, demolishing Manchester United during the weekend”, “Haaland the Viking warrior is back on his goal-scoring streak”

A certain Manchester United fan subtly posted a comment saying- “Hojlund doing serious business while Haaland is slaying“. In the post-match interview Pep also commented that even though people want Haaland to fail, he will score nonetheless. City Report Podcast reposted the picture with a caption comparing his hair to Barbie saying –“In a Haaland World”
The official Twitter account of the UEFA Champions League has also posted pictures of some players with their signature hairstyles and it looks like they have added another one to their list.
The goals against Young Boys have taken Haaland’s goal tally to 37 goals in 33 appearances and is already into double figures this season.
Erling Haaland’s hair transformation
From scoring 9 goals as a kid in the U-20 World Cup to winning the Champions League, Erling Haaland has come a long way so far and so have his hairstyles. Previously seen with short hair and a mohawk, the Norwegian started increasing the length of his hair since his Dortmund days.
After signing for Manchester City, Haaland kept the long hair but used to tie it up. Earlier this year he let go of the hair band and fans were amazed to see his Viking-like long golden hair.

Haaland kept a middle part haircut which saw his long hair fall symmetrically on either side. The style was highly reminiscent of the 90s and Haaland donned it mainly after the Bundesliga resumed post-lockdown. During his last season, he kept a swept-back hairstyle whilst still maintaining the length of his long hair.

The ponytail and the bun hairstyle became stable after his move to the blue side of Manchester. Currently, the Manchester City ace is enjoying the best time of his career so far and has said in multiple interviews that he is not getting rid of his long hair anytime soon.
During the pre-season, Haaland tried cornrows and pigtails as well. But after the EA FC 24 trailer reveal he thought it would be a good idea to get back to his original long hairstyle. In recent matches, Haaland has let go of his free-flowing hair and fans can expect to see more of it for the rest of the season.
