Forza Motorsport is now available on console, PC, Xbox Game Pass, and Cloud Gaming platforms. The game was launched following a successful Early Access phase. In addition to the Builders Cup and Featured Multiplayer playlists, there are other features and mechanics. They include cross-play, cross-progression, accessibility choices, and wheel support to enhance the gameplay experience.
However, players started to encounter gameplay, graphics, audio, and technical issues in the game. This led to a huge dissatisfaction among the gaming community.
Forza Motorsport update 1.494.4196.0 is now available following a highly criticized debut. Turn10 will continue to improve the game in the next weeks and months, and this is just the beginning. The update includes a slew of fixes and improvements that take the racing adventure to new heights.
Forza Motorsport Update 1.0 Patch Notes
The developer is working continuously to improve and enhance the gameplay experience for the players. Below the the fixes that have been introduced in the update 1.0 patch notes.
Stability fixes for all Platforms
- Improved overall stability with patches for many crash scenarios.
- Fixed a crash in the Builders Cup Career Mode that occurred. This is after upgrading a car and entering Open Practice in the Fox Body Challenge race at Watkins Glen.
- Fixed a crash on Grand Oak Club Circuit that occurred. This is during a cinematic when entering Open Practice for the third race of the Builders Cup Intro Series.
- If there were too many cars with custom thumbnail graphics, a crash could occur. This is while entering a Free Play race from the My Cars menu. It has now been fixed.
- A crash that could occur when loading into a Free Play race has been fixed.
Progression fixes for all Platforms
- Car part unlock levels have been adjusted to increase player upgrading choices at lower car levels. The majority of car components should now be unlocked inside a single Builders Cup series.
- Enhancements to ensure that Car Affinity manufacturer reward discounts are unlocked. This is when a player reaches Car Level 50 in a car from the corresponding brand.
Multiplayer fixes for all Platforms
- Fixed an exploit in Featured Multiplayer in which a player may enter Qualifying right from a Practice session and submit unrealistic lap times onto the leaderboard.
- Resolved an issue in which incorrect Safety Ratings and Driver Skill Ratings were sometimes utilized for matches.
- Fixed a bug in which control of the car was not returned to the player after departing the pits in Featured Multiplayer and starting a solo race in Free Play.
- A bug that stopped players from downloading and saving another player’s livery while in a Private Multiplayer pre-race has been fixed.
Livery Editor fixes for all Platforms
- On the 2016 Ford 66 Ford Racing GT Le Mans, moving a decal across the “Top” or “Hood” of the vehicle while in the Livery Editor caused decals to be reflected and offset on the other side of the car. This has been fixed.
- On the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, the stripe decals would not match up correctly between the bonnet, roof, and wing. This has now been fixed.
- Fixed a crash in Apply Decals when importing a Layer Group from a prior Forza game and then attempting to apply a Vinyl Shape.
Tracks fixes for all Platforms
- The graphics of the trackside flags at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway have been updated.
- On Le Mans track layouts, a specific curb would cause LMP cars to stop as if they were colliding with a phantom wall. This has been fixed.
Physics fixes for all Platforms
- Improved wet tire wear rates at moderate track moisture conditions. Wet tires will still wear quickly in dry or semi-dry circumstances.
Tuning Setup fixes for all Platforms
- A bug that stopped users from downloading another player’s custom Tuning Setup when visiting a Leaderboard has been fixed.
Car fixes for all Platforms
- Fixed an issue with the cockpit view of the 1956 Jaguar D-Type appearing too low and clipping through the driver’s collar.
- The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde had an issue where the front of the car vanished after purchasing a front bumper cosmetic upgrade. This has been fixed.
- After installing a body kit, the 2014 Volkswagen Golf R side skirts could no longer be visible. This has been fixed.
- Fixed an issue with the 1977 Holden Torana in which both the Street and Sport Roll Cages were visible after installing a Race Roll Cage.
- The obvious graining on the 2021 Lexus LC 500 Race Roll Cage texture has been removed.
- Fixed a problem where higher-level Roll Cage would be visible on lower level modifications on the 2044 Porsche 911 GT3, 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, 2018 Renault Megane RS, and 2012 MINI John Cooper Works GP.
- Fixed a problem with the 2021 BMW M3 in which the RPM displayed on the digital dash was out of sync with the RPM displayed on the Forza UI HUD.
- The 2016 Cadillac ATS V now has corrected ambient occlusion problems on both the exterior and interior views, as well as a separate issue with damage geometry clipping when viewed from a distance.
- The 2014 Lamborghini Huracan now has no light coming from the car gauge and dashboard cluster. It also includes the headlights, taillights, and brake lights.
- The mirror material of the 2018 SUBARU 1 Adrian Flux SUBARU Racing Levorg GT has been changed from a repetitive pattern to the desired semi-gloss metallic silver texture.
- The 2020 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray had an issue where using the Remove Wing Upgrade left the Stock Wing visible on the car. This has been fixed.
- Fixed an unusual behavior scenario in which players who own the Forza Motorsport Premium Edition or Premium Add-On Bundle on both Xbox and Steam and use the Gamertag on both the versions would receive an error message prompting them to repurchase the associated DLC.
This update is just the beginning as the developers will continuously bring fixes and upgrade the game. This will help the gamers to have a better overall experience while playing the game.
