Forza Motorsport is one of Xbox’s biggest racing games for the current generation of the console. The game launched on October 10, 2023, and has been enjoying a positive wave of reviews so far.
With a collection of 500 cars and multiple exciting features, Forza Motorsport 8 has also added several ways to play with friends. Players can master the racing genre with their multiplayer modes. Although there are limited options to choose from, the options allow players to play with friends or strangers.
Players wanting to play online multiplayer in Forza Motorsport can either choose to play online with other players using the Featured Multiplayer mode or they can set up custom races with friends in the Private Multiplayer tab.
Players can play Featured Multiplayer by visiting the main menu. Players must head to Race and then select the Featured Multiplayer option. From there, they will be able to select from a bunch of different events having different classes of cars on different tracks.
In this players can race head to head against other players who have similar qualifying times to them.
How to set up a Private Lobby in Forza Motorsport?
Unfortunately, qualifying in a private lobby is one of the essential features that Forza Motorsport misses out on. Several fans have pointed out and criticized the developer for not including the option in the private lobbies in the game.
Irrespective, the game allows players to play via Private Multiplayer. To do so players must follow the steps given below:
- First, choose the ‘Race’ option from the main menu.
- Next, they must go to Private Multiplayer which appears at the bottom of the list.
- Then the players must invite their friends. The game gives an option to invite a maximum of 31 other players to their lobby.
- Finally, players must create an event with whatever settings, track,s and cars they wish to allow.
Players can choose from several different modes and game types in the private multiplayer sessions to customize their race. It could be done for a particular group of friends or cars. The options available include Circuit Races, Timed Races, Multi-Class Races, or Meetups.
They depend on how the players want to battle it out, or if they just want to drive around the tracks casually to show off their collection. While Circuit Races are the standard where players race to cross the finish line before anyone else after a set number of laps, a Timed Race doesn’t have the laps concept.
Instead, players must be sure to be in first place before the timer runs out. On the other hand, Multi-Class Races are usually exciting since players can race with multiple other car classes on the track as them.
