Sergio Perez has left his Red Bull team gambling on him. While Christian Horner showed he believes in the Mexican driver, Helmut Marko has been on the record saying otherwise.
However, this has put Perez in a tough spot. Although he tried his best to ignore the critics and go on, it seems the pressure has finally gotten to him. Recently, Perez showed a horrible performance at the Japanese Grand Prix.
However, his luck followed him to this weekend’s sprint race. The Mexican driver’s repetitive DNF races have Helmut Marko done. The Red Bull boss recently said, “You don’t want to hear an answer from me on that just before the Mexican Grand Prix.” This was said as a reply to Gerhard Berger who believes it would be in Red Bull’s best interest to have Checo in the team.

However, his statement struck fans in the wrong way. Although Red Bull has decided to continue having Sergio Perez in their driver lineup for 2024, nothing has been confirmed.
It has been rumored previously that Perez could get replaced next year if he manages to not hold his second position in the Standings. Nonetheless, Marko seems to have made it clear that he is not happy with Checo’s stay in the team.
Fans react to Helmut Marko’s hints about kicking out Sergio Perez
Sergio Perez has done an incredible job this season when he won two races. however, as time has passed by, the driver has become progressively worse. With that being said, the driver has become more and more desperate to finish a race and not just qualifications. With Lewis Hamilton inching closer to taking his second spot in the Driver’s Standings, he has everything to lose with his Red Bull team.
However, Helmut Marko’s statements left fans surprised. Although completely right on his part, the brutal statement caught everyone’s attention. One fan commented, “So he basically saying, we gonna kick him out after Mexico race.”

Another fan commented on the brutal comment. Although it can be harsh, for Red Bull to maintain their newfound glory, they may do anything to keep it intact. The user commented, “He’s not wrong, but f**k He’s brutal.”

Nonetheless, it seems the talks about Sergio Perez potentially getting replaced by Daniel Ricciardo may not be completely out of the picture. However, this leaves Perez to get his head into the game. His teammate, Max Verstappen holds his third championship title.
