Formula 1 has recently seen more and more countries bidding to come into the scene. With new tracks being added to the calendar, the sport has never flourished more. And with the much-anticipated race week, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has been inching closer. After much consideration, the Las Vegas race was added back to the calendars after a really long time. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place at the Heineken Silver Circuit near the Caesars Palace.
The race will have some incredible chaos-packed moments. With Mercedes warding off everyone to stay second in the championship. While Lewis Hamilton will chase down Sergio Perez to get closer to a second position in the driver’s standings. The Vegas race will have some beautiful views to look forward to as the drivers race. Daniel Ricciardo too, will be seen making yet another comeback at the Las Vegas GP.

However, the race will not follow the standard timing of any F1 race. Formula 1 has always witnessed races on Sundays. With that soon becoming somewhat of a tradition, it seems Las Vegas will be bringing another trend with it. This will also be seen repeated for a lot of races in the 2024 calendar, the drivers will be racing on a Saturday with the weekend starting way into the mid-week.
Las Vegas Grand Prix schedule brings a Saturday night race to the table
Las Vegas was once one of the races in the F1 calendar. However, the race was held long before it made its comeback this season. The Las Vegas circuit was first seen in Formula 1 in 1981 and 1982. Those two years, the Silver circuit had drivers lined up to fight for a race. However, they never had a permanent contract which resulted in it returning this season. The circuit is 3.853 miles long and will be a night race.
However, the timings of the race are something to look out for. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will have its opening ceremony on Wednesday. It will start around 7:30 PM. The schedule will be just like other races but a day ahead. So the two practice sessions will be on Thursday, November 16th, and will start around 8:30 PM. The first practice session will last for an hour from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, meanwhile, the second practice session will be held from 12:00 AM to 1:AM.

The drivers will line up around 12:00 AM to get done with their qualifications. And finally, the race will be held on Saturday, November 18th. The Las Vegas Grand Prix will start at 10:00 PM and can be watched on ESPN or F1 TV Live.
