Drew McIntyre has been presented as a powerhouse ever since he made his return to WWE. His first stint with the company may not have been how he wanted him to be, but his ongoing run has made him one of the biggest attractions in the promotion.
McIntyre has mostly remained away from any sorts of controversies in the industry, but this time he has himself jumped into one. The 38-year-old has recently lashed out at globally known artist Taylor Swift, and it has surprised a lot of his followers.
All this happened after someone shared an AI-created version of his previously used theme song, ‘Broken Dreams,’ in Taylor’s voice. It was probably something that The Scottish Warrior didn’t like much, and that’s why he lashed out at the fan for associating his theme with Taylor.
Unironically this has given me a lot to think about. At this point I will be taking no further questions on Taylor Swift. https://t.co/2pM1VK2VQj

The WWE veteran expressed his views by replying to the tweet through his official X handle. The former 3MB member wrote, “Unironically this has given me a lot to think about. At this point I will be taking no further questions on Taylor Swift.”
It must be noted that the American singer has been a topic of discussion among pro wrestling fans since WWE Fastlane. At the press conference after the event, Iyo Sky was asked a question about Swift, and she has since been talked about a lot. Now that Drew has also mentioned her, things have gone to an even higher level.
Why doesn’t Drew McIntyre use his Broken Dreams theme song now?
The Broken Dreams theme song was written by Shaman’s Harvest, and it was used by Drew McIntyre from 2009–2013. After using the song for a significant period of time during his first stint with the Stamford-based promotion, it wasn’t heard for a long time in the company.
Even after the 38-year-old made his WWE comeback, he didn’t use his old theme, and fans speculated that there could be an issue of song rights. But in April 2021, The Scottish Warrior revealed by himself that the company has the rights to the song, and is waiting for the correct time.
After about a year of this statement, hints were made to use this song during the build-up to Drew’s match against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship. All those hints eventually came true, as the star used Broken Dreams during his entrance at Clash at the Castle 2022.
Despite using the song at the event in the UK, McIntyre didn’t continue with this theme. Fans always share their requests to have The Scottish Warrior come out to his theme, but WWE probably doesn’t want to do it. Whatever the reason really is, it’s true that the song has had a huge role in Drew’s iconic pro wrestling career.
