It’s been a while since Vince McMahon was seen on WWE TV, as the legend has been away from the screens for a while now. In his absence, Triple H has played a major role in the company, especially in building up and handling creative plans.
As WWE’s merger with the UFC took place last month, a report about the leadership of storylines has taken the pro wrestling audience by storm. As per the reports, The Game is now in complete charge of the creative, and Mr. McMahon has no role in the storyline ideas.
With Hunter being in the driving seat for running the stories, fans have a special request for the 14-time World Champion. Recommending the WWE CCO to bring back a legendary performer, an audience member wrote, “Triple H will be best if he brings back CM PUNK.” (Via: X)
PWInsider: There’s a belief within WWE that Vince McMahon is no longer involved with the creative end of things and that Triple H has been basically knighted by Endeavor. And he’s the one who is driving 99.9% of the creative going forward. Not Vince McMahon.

This wasn’t the only request the veteran received, as there were a lot of people who made requests to bring back The Straight Edge Superstar. Others thanked Endeavor for making Triple H the creative head, as they feel that the product is now way better than it previously used to be.
Even though the recent updates revealed that The Game is in creative control, they also revealed that if Vince gives his thoughts, they’ll go with what he wants. But the individual who holds authority in the week-to-week progression of ideas is none other than Paul Michael Levesque.
Will Triple H bring back CM Punk to WWE?
It’s publicly known that Triple H and CM Punk have had major differences during the Best In The World’s time in WWE. But it’s believed that their real-life relationship has improved a lot in the last few years.
The thing that supports this claim is how the veteran appeared backstage during the April 24 episode of RAW earlier this year. It was revealed that he met The Game during his backstage visit, and the two even shook hands, after which CM had a healthy conversation with Hunter.
As the two had a really good interaction, they’ve probably settled their past differences. If that’s true, there’s a high possibility that the 14-time WWE Champion could be in favor of bringing the veteran in-ring performer back to the Stamford-based promotion.
CM Punk DOES intend to return to WWE, and Punk and WWE are indeed in talks.

But as Kennedy still holds major authority in the promotion, the decision to bring back Punk will probably be a mutual one. As rumors have revealed that the former WWE Champion is in talks for a return, it remains to be seen whether it becomes a reality in the near future or not.
