Becoming the first U.S. woman to compete at six World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, Simone Biles made history once again when she won the eighth all-around title at the U.S. World Championship. This was her very first win after marrying the love of her life, Jonathan Owens.
Simone Biles and the NFL player Jonathan Owens are known to be extremely dedicated to their respective careers in sports. However, a mere few months after their marriage, they had to go a long distance because of their professional commitments.

Despite the long distance, the couple didn’t lose their spark and are very supportive of each other. During a recent interview with Olympics.com, Biles talked about her emotions before her comeback to gymnastics. She shared that her husband, Owens, does not have any regrets for being distant from her, saying, “Even my husband will tell you, ‘Simone, just calm down. You don’t have to pack for this, this and this. Just go with the flow'”.

Since her return to normal gymnastics, many things have changed in her life, and so has she. Her definition of success has changed, and she now considers it just showing up, having fun, being in a good headspace, and seeing how things are going, and her husband is an integral part of that narrative.
Jonathan Owens celebrates Simone Biles’ achievement for another historic milestone

Unfortunately, her husband, Jonathan Owens, couldn’t be there with her. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t there for her completely.
Owens didn’t miss showing his pride for his wife online, on his social media platform. He shared an Instagram story celebrating his wife for her historic first spot on the U.S. team, with the caption, “Next stop Belgium,” along with a finger-crossed emoji and the iconic GOAT emoji.
