Former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci is reportedly planning to sue his former club. The Italian defender spent most of his professional career at the Old Lady.
According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Bonucci has made up his mind to take legal steps against the club. This is because he believes that his professional and personal image was heavily damaged in his last few months at the club months.
His lawyers are reportedly set to proceed with the action on Tuesday. They are going to ‘request for compensation for damages due to the alleged lack of adequate training and preparation conditions available to Bonucci’.

The player has decided that he will donate any amount of compensation resulting from this action to Neuroland. It is an association that supports families of children hospitalized in the Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin.
The Old Lady was recently dropped from the European competitions for the upcoming season. Both UEFA and Juventus reached an agreement to see the club drop out of Europe altogether. This is to avoid any further punishment for breaching FFP regulations. This new legal trouble doesn’t sound nice from the club’s perspective who are now looking to keep a clear image of themselves.
It is to be seen what happens next in the case. Will Bonucci truly drag his former employers to the court? Or will this story take a twist?
