DrDisrespect has faced no shortage of controversy. He was banned from Twitch. He also faced backlash for streaming from a bathroom too. The streamer receives criticism occasionally despite being one of the most well-liked in the video game business. He was accused of being a racist as well. Despite this, his opinion is highly respected in the game industry.
Marketing is a very important aspect of business. Collaborations are eagerly anticipated by influencers and content providers. It is advantageous to both parties. While influencers get to profit from their social media popularity, businesses have the opportunity to promote their products.
He has had the chance to work with sponsors or even consider starting his own firm. However, the streamer himself claimed that Bethesda was not interested in collaborating with DrDisrespect. Kick, a popular streaming platform also did not collaborate with him as they did not accept the streamer’s demands.
DrDisrespect says he has been praising Starfield for “a while” and that he is looking forward to playing it. Although he occasionally enjoys playing single-player games, he is best known for his abilities in intense multiplayer games.
Why did Bethesda Games reject DrDisrespect
During a live stream, when he opened the character creation window and saw that his character had a pronoun option, he was surprised. He was stunned for around ten seconds, then he let out a long breath. He opened Twitter and made fun of Pete Hines, Head of Publishing at Bethesda, for using pronouns in his biography.
He continued by saying that he had asked to at least be able to play the game concurrently with other streams who had early access, but that request had also been rejected for the same reasons. He said that his team reached out to people at Bethesda but they rejected him because of his “past controversies”.
Dr. Disrespect was rejected a Starfield sponsorship deal due to his recent transphobia, and he got triggered on stream because the head of Bethesda publishing has pronouns in his bio

Despite playing Starfield for more than nine hours during his show and being “impressed” with the game’s size and volume of content, DrDisrespect has some issues with Bethesda. In reaction to the video, he said that he thought his remarks had been misinterpreted.
He highlighted a tweet that claimed he was transphobic and that if this was his response, he wouldn’t get past the MW2 lobby. Some of these unlucky young people, he responded, are just depressed. They lacked practical experience and were completely misled by the internet.
DrDisrespect has apologized for his remarks on stream. Bethesda has not yet commented on whether or not they interacted with him. They have also not confirmed whether they specifically declined to sponsor him.
