Red Bull has been the dominating team for quite some time. Ever since pushing their luck in 2021 and winning the championship with their star driver, Red Bull has become unstoppable. The team has won two consecutive Constructors Championships and is closing in on their third. Meanwhile, their star driver, Max Verstappen closes in on his third World Champion title. However, as Red Bull threads on its journey to more wins, its sister team, AlphaTauri is been nowhere to be seen.
Although AlphaTauri has had their star driver, Yuki Tsunoda drive to some points so far, it has not been enough. It is very clear when compared, that the AlphaTauri team is struggling while their “owner” team wins races one after the other. This puts all the eyes on RB for having a sister team that is not as dominant as their team. If compared the two teams are on two completely different ends of a stick.

Red Bull has won all the races of the season so far. On the contrary, AlphaTauri has won none. Red Bull has 540 points in the constructors championships while AlphaTauri only has 3 points all earned by Yuki Tsunoda with a 10th place thrice. Comparatively, Red Bull’s star driver has brought them 11 race wins while Sergio Perez won two. Needless to say, AlphaTauri has changed their drivers two times and has had four drivers in this season alone.
Red Bull has plans to make AlphaTauri a stronger team
But with Red Bull’s boss recently speaking about the changes that will be made considering the sister team, things might finally look up. AlphaTauri has been struggling to get to securing points. This can be really questionable considering their supporting team is undefeatable. However, Helmut Marko has promised to bring some more changes to RB in order to help AlphaTauri.
Quoted by Formu1a.uno, Helmut Marko said, “This conflict smoldered throughout this cooperation. That’s why it’s now being restructured… There is a very clear instruction. Everything that is permitted by the regulations must be adapted by Red Bull. No more in-house constructions, no more peculiarities in Faenza. The synergies are to be used as best as possible.”

Red Bull has made it clear that all their new upgrades and work will be at the sister team. This can make AlphaTauri the next really competitive car, which may give a challenge to Mercedes and Ferrari. However, AlphaTauri has been left in the back for a while. With only one promising driver on their team, they haven’t achieved much so far. However, with RB coming to their support, will AlphaTauri be as dominant as Red Bull?
