Max Verstappen has won almost all the races of the season. Except for the two race wins taken by his teammate, Sergio Perez, Max Verstappen has won all 11 races of the season. He also became the first driver after Michael Schumacher to win the first ten races of the season. But when talking about the Dutchman’s dominance, one can’t simply forget to mention the records he has broken in this season alone.
Verstappen has equaled his consecutive race wins with Sebastian Vettel which leaves him looking forward to Monza beating his record. The Dutchman also brought his team their 100th win in Formula 1 and drove Red Bull to their 13th consecutive win as a team. That being said, Lewis Hamilton is no different. The Brit has had it for the Dutchman since 2021 after he lost his 8th record-breaking title to him.
Lewis Hamilton has won seven world championship titles. He is the only other driver after Michael Schumacher to achieve this pedestal. The Mercedes star has also won 103 races and 104 pole positions throughout his career. The Brit holds the record for the most race wins in Formula 1 history. However, that does not stop Hamilton from wanting to win.
Lewis Hamilton’s brilliance gets compared to Max Verstappen again
In the Seven-time champion’s words, “I have a few more years left in me.” Hamilton has confirmed himself that he is not going to stop his fight against the Bulls. Throughout Hamilton’s career and into Red Bull’s dominance, the teams have had a love-hate relationship with each other. And while the two were out at it, the teams have realized that their rivalry may never dissolve. But while everyone cheers on Verstappen’s brilliance, Hamilton has gone unnoticed.
According to recent stats, if both Fernando Alonso and Max Verstappen’s podiums are totaled, it equals Hamilton’s singlehanded podium wins. Lewis Hamilton has 195 podiums in Formula 1. Fernando Alonso, on the contrary, has 105 podiums, and Verstappen with 90 podiums. This speaks volumes on Lewis Hamilton’s brilliance when compared to Max Verstappen. However, with Mercedes struggling, Hamilton has been unable to win another podium.

But with the summer break over, and one race into the the second half of the season, the Brit can change his score. Although he fought his way from the back of the grid to P5, he could not win a podium. Nonetheless, he has nine more races to face. This means, he still has a chance to win podiums for his team and lead the record he has set in F1.
