As the sudden and tragic news of the WWE superstar, Bray Wyatt came out, the wrestling world was left in a state of shock and grief. The WWE fighter, Windham Rotunda died of a reported heart attack at the young age of 36 on August 24, 2023.
Wyatt had been dealing with an undisclosed health issue that had kept him out of the ring since February, but his death was unexpected by his family and fans. He had recently returned to WWE in October 2022, after being released in July 2021, and had been involved in a captivating storyline with LA Knight and a mysterious masked figure named Uncle Howdy.
Uncle Howdy had been haunting Wyatt since his comeback, revealing personal information about his past and challenging him to embrace his dark side. Uncle Howdy had also attacked Wyatt on several occasions, hitting him with his own signature move, Sister Abigail.
The identity of Uncle Howdy had been kept secret, but many fans and insiders had speculated that it was none other than Bo Dallas, Wyatt’s real-life brother and former WWE superstar.
Wyatt’s death has left a huge void in WWE and in the hearts of his fans. Many of them have taken to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to the fallen star. Some of them have also urged Triple H, WWE’s Chief Content Officer and executive vice president of global talent strategy and development, to let Bo Dallas continue Uncle Howdy’s storyline and honor his brother’s legacy.

One fan posted, “I hope WWE gives Bo Dallas a platform to continue the success of his brother, let the memory of his character be continued by the man that was helping rebuild him in his second run” on his ‘X’ account.
While it is unclear what WWE’s plans are for Uncle Howdy’s storyline and Bo Dallas’ future, many fans hope that they will respect Bray Wyatt’s memory and legacy by giving his brother a chance to shine.
Who is the brother of Bray Wyatt and the mystery of Uncle Howdy?
Bo Dallas, whose real name is Taylor Michael Rotunda, was released from WWE in April 2021, along with Wyatt and several other talents. His last appearance on WWE was in November 2019, when he suffered a defeat by Drew McIntyre on RAW.
There were rumors that he would return to the company in October 2022, coinciding with Wyatt’s comeback. He was spotted backstage at RAW on January 10, 2023, which reportedly confirmed him as Uncle Howdy.
Bo Dallas and Bray Wyatt are both sons of Mike Rotunda, a former WWE wrestler known as IRS. They also have a grandfather, Blackjack Mulligan, and an uncle, Barry Windham, who were both wrestling legends. Bo Dallas followed in his brother’s footsteps and became a successful wrestler himself, winning the NXT Championship in 2013 and the RAW Tag Team Championship with Curtis Axel in 2018.
He had adopted a similar cult-like persona as Bray Wyatt when he formed the B-Team with Axel. However, Bo Dallas had never reached the same level of popularity and acclaim as Bray Wyatt, who had reinvented himself several times throughout his career.
Bo Dallas has proven himself to be a talented performer who can play different roles and deliver entertaining matches. Moreover, he has a strong family connection with Bray Wyatt, which could add more depth and emotion to Uncle Howdy’s character.
