Max Verstappen and Red Bull are currently dominating the Formula 1 grid. However, the other teams are trying to catch up to them. Teams like Mercedes and McLaren have made some decent progress in the previous weeks. Despite this, Red Bull are sticking to their path but are prepared to react.
Red Bull Chief Engineer Paul Monaghan said “I think we’ll have to see how the coming races pan out and see what our opposition do, [but] there will be other changes to RB19 through the season. We’ll stay on our pathway. If we need to react this year, then there may be scope to do so. But at the moment, we’ve got a pathway and we’re going to follow it.”

Naturally, Red Bull will have planned their own development arc. However, they might have to react to other teams making significant progress in an attempt to challenge them. The team has already won all the races this season so far. With only 10 more races remaining, it is not likely that Mercedes or any other team will be challenging them. However, from the looks of things, they would like to continue their current winning streak.
Although Max Verstappen has been dominating, his teammate seems to be a bit more vulnerable. Fans seem to think that Sergio Perez is where Red Bull is in terms of the car’s development. The only reason Max Verstappen is dominating is because of his talents and not the car.
Will Red Bull lose a race this season?
Although they have won all the races this season, they could lose one or two if they make any strategic errors or have any reliability issues. But so far the team and Max Verstappen have been close to perfect.
Most of the teams including Mercedes seem to have given up on this year’s Championship and have shifted their focus to next year. Those teams will be hoping to challenge the Bulls for the Championship in 2024.
Although it is possible that Red Bull could lose a race this season, it is more possible that they would win it all. No other team in the sport’s history has won all the races in a season. If Red Bull manages to do so, we should be honored to witness it.

Max Verstappen is also a man on a mission. He has practically won the Championship this season already. No other driver will have a chance to beat him. So Max has started his own side quest of breaking records. He currently has 8 race wins in a row this season. He is 2nd only to Sebastian Vettel who had 9 race wins in a row in 2013. If the Dutch driver wins his home Grand Prix this weekend, he will have equaled the record set by Vettel.
After breaking this record, he will be aiming to break his own record of 15 victories in a season. He currently has 10 race wins and will need to win only 6 more to break this record.
There is no doubt that Red Bull and Max Verstappen have outdone themselves this season. They are basically untouchable. No other driver or team has come close to the pace of Max Verstappen and Red Bull.
Let’s see how the teams develop their car in the coming weeks. If Mercedes are bluffing, they could catch up to Red Bull by compromising on next year’s performance.
