The NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently revealed his failed attempt at buying BET Media Group. Shaq, along with 50 Cent, and Tyler Perry, made a bid to Paramount of $2 billion in exchange for ownership.
However, things didn’t work out for them, as Paramount was asking for a whopping $3 billion. It turned out they would rather maintain the ownership of BET than make a shift for the grand amount that Shaq’s group offered.
Surprisingly, even when Byron Allen offered them an amount that was roughly near the asked amount, Paramount still didn’t go for it. Thereby, strengthening the belief that they didn’t have the intention to sell the majority of it in the first place.
This failed deal came as a shock for the group, as each one of them has been familiarized with victory in their respective fields. O’Neal and Perry took to their Instagram handles to discuss this. The filmmaker also spoke about how the amount that Paramount Group was asking for, wasn’t worth it.
While the two of them were being vocal about this attempt, rapper 50 Cent was busy celebrating something else. Curtis Jackson who is affectionately known as 50 Cent went on his ‘Final Lap Tour’ and he had too much to celebrate about. The rapper marked this gala by performing his first-ever album which was released two decades ago.
