World No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz, is a man of many talents. He is exceptional on the tennis court and a very down-to-earth boy when he is off it. However, it seems that the only area where he might be lacking is in having any artistic qualities. His limitations when it comes to art were really put under the spotlight when he drew an emoji for the camera.
This funny incident took place after his first-round match at the Cincinnati Open. Alcaraz played against Jordan Thompson and defeated him in three sets in a rain-delayed match.
Following the match, Alcaraz was asked to sign for the camera. Carlos ended up drawing a smiling emoji. He poured his all into it and showed off his hard-made but hilarious artwork.

Fans were quick to jump on the opportunity to poke fun at Alcaraz’s drawing skills. Or the lack of it. They absolutely loved the look of concentration on his face. “Lol the concentration for that,” they wrote. Another fan joked that it was probably an NFT in the making.

Carlos Alcaraz will not mind the jokes too much. At the end of the day, everyone knows the Spaniard is a master on the tennis court. Even a misfiring Alcaraz can dictate the game.
Carlos Alcaraz vs. Jordan Thompson match summary
The Wimbledon champion has not been firing on all cylinders lately. Carlos Alcaraz has found it difficult to get used to the hard court after his historic win at the All-England club. He just about managed to get through the match against Jordan.
Carlos limped through the match, defeating the unseeded Australian 7-5 4-6 6-3, in a rain-interrupted match. He did not look his best and was even trailing halfway through the first set.
Alcaraz had an opportunity to break Jordan’s serve but he wasted it. Finally, he did manage to crawl back into the game to level it 4-4. He eventually won the first set.

The Spaniard could not hold on to his lead as Jordan took the lead in the second set. Alcaraz struggled with his serve, which allowed the Australian to claim the second set and push for a decider.
Carlos was lucky to break serve early on in the third set and finally found his rhythm. His victory over Thompson was his 50th win of the year.
Carlos Alcaraz has looked a little off-color. He was not at his best at the Canadian Open, and he survived another scare in Cincinnati. As the defending US Open champion, Carlos will be praying to find his groove as quickly as possible.
