Throughout its history, NBA athletes have possessed some of the great athletic skills that have gained prominence year by year, achieved by only the greatest ones in the league.

Vertical jumps in NBA is one of the greatest skills possessed by players, harnessing great physicality in terms of strength and endurance by pushing their bodies into the air from the ground.

Former NBA players, including Michael Jordan, Darrell Griffith, Jason Richardson, Anthony Webb, and James White, have already achieved this impressive feat with their performances.

Known for his dunking ability as a high schooler, James White 46-inch vertical jump in a Dunk Contest earned him the nickname 'Flight White' along with a 2008 BSL Slam Dunk Contest champion win.

Despite his unpopularity and short height of 5-foot-6 in the NBA, Anthony Jerome 'Spud' Webb's 46-inch vertical jump at the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest earned him a win as the contest champion.

After winning two consecutive NBA Slam Dunk Contests in 2002 and 2003, Jason Richardson earned the second position after Michael Jordan with this impeccable feat and a vertical jump of 46.5 inches.

Dr. Dunkenstein, a nickname given for his dunking ability and defensive gameplay with two NBA Slam Dunk Contest appearance representing Utah Jazz, Darrell Griffith has a vertical jump of 48 inches.

The list is, however, incomplete without Michael Jordan, carrying slam dunk nicknames of 'Air Jordan' and 'His Airness' and 2 NBA Slam Dunk Contest wins with the highest vertical jump of 48 inches.
