In his 19-year career in the NBA as part of six franchises, Shaquille O’Neal's personality on court as the Big Diesel has always been in prominence and has all-time popularity even today.
As a dominant leader, Shaquille has always provided support for his teammates whenever required, be it in on-court team management or in his off-court fun moments with his teammates.
Shaquille's locker room incidents, however, remain among his lesser-known moments yet the ones that happen for his teammates off-court in private without public hindrance.
One such incident was revealed by former NBA head coach and New York Knicks President Phil Jackson, who appeared at the American Express event in conversation with ESPN journalist Hannah Storm.
“Well, you know, numbers of times, he could crack a team up with humorous effects on the floor. There were times when he shocked us all in, especially when he showed up n*de with just his shoes on.”
Also present in the discussion, Shaquille, when asked on its actuality, however, denied such happenings for not having remembered the incident, stating his response as, “I don’t remember.”
Besides this, Phil also recalled some of his related locker room pranks, stating, “Every few days or every week or so, the big man would come barreling around a locker room corner completely n*de."
Adding further, he also stated, "He would tackle a teammate or coaching staff member to the ground, where he would roll around with them in what he called 'Brazilian naked wrestling'.”
Whether true or not, these fun-filled moments with teammates reflected his good relations in professional life and the growing eagerness among fans to know more of his locker room stories or pranks.
