The UFC is a truly unpredictable sport, as there have been multiple instances in history where the fighter everyone favors loses while the other one wins due to his impressive skills.

Here are the top 5 instances where fighters truly shook the world by knocking out some of the most famous UFC fighters of all time, making it a finish worth remembering for the next decades to come.

Chael Sonnen and Anderson Silva clashed in 2001 when they were at their peak. Sonnen backed up his reputation by dominating in the initial rounds, but Silva won via triangle choke in fifth round.

Jorge Masvidal truly surprised all the viewers when he faced off against Ben Askren at UFC 239. The bout only lasted 5 seconds as Masvidal KO'd Askren, recording the fastest KO in the history of UFC.

During 2010, GSP was a fan favorite, even in the octagon at UFC 69 against Matt Serra. Serra shook the world with his strikes, leading to the stoppage of the fight and ultimately his victory.

One of the most iconic fights for Conor to date was his featherweight title shot against Jose Aldo, one of the best pound-for-pound fighters. Conor proved himself by ending the match in 13 seconds.

The star of women's UFC, Ronda Rousey, was once unbeatable until she encountered Holly Holm at UFC 193. Holm left her audience open-mouthed when she KO'd Rousey in the second round itself.

All of these wins, or rather, losses, prove that nothing is impossible in the UFC, as some of the best fighters who were fan favorites of their times were defeated by lesser-known opponents.
