Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play 150-player battle-royale game. Activision developed and published the title. Soon, the new Season 5 update will release. Previously, operator skins were added from the hit TV show “The Boys” for Season 4 with an in-game event involving superpowers.
Furthermore, in the latest update, high-profile hip-hop stars will be added as new operator skins. The 50-year celebration of hip-hop is the reason for this particular update.
As a matter of fact, these updates have aided Call of Duty: Warzone and the musical artists. The game currently has over 50 million active monthly players while the artists gain more and more fans. The game is lauded for its impressive and detailed map design. Nonetheless, some have complained about the recent nerf to weapons in the July 24 Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone update.
The Season 5 update will also introduce new War Track packs filled with hip-hop music for players to enjoy while navigating Warzone’s maps. The game will complete its hip-hop trio consisting of Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg with the rapper 21 Savage.
Nicki Minaj’s character wields a large pink automatic weapon in the game, matching her hair. It reflects her vibrant and bold style. Snoop Dogg’s character, meanwhile, is equipped with a good-looking blue gun and shirt with a pot leaves print as a design and sports his signature sunglasses.
There have been no details on 21 Savage’s player model or his signature weapon yet and fans are eagerly hoping that it’s just as good as Nicki and Snoop.
Will 21 Savage be available with Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg?
According to the official Call of Duty announcement, 21 Savage will be added in Season 5. Although his operator skin has not been unveiled yet, Activision has confirmed his presence in the game.
The official announcement reads, “Call him a rockstar or Mr. Right Now; no matter what, he’s 21 Savage.”
“Born in London and raised in Atlanta, a community he continues to give back to through philanthropic efforts, the Slaughter King went from underground hero to award-winning rapper. Now, without warning, it’s time for him to go Savage Mode in Call of Duty – expect an Operator Bundle featuring 21 Savage to drop as part of the Reloaded offerings.”
From the above statement, it’s clear that all the hip-hop stars will be available as separate bundles. Each bundle is expected to cost around 2400 COD points or about $20.
As of now, only a silhouette of 21 Savage’s operator skin has been released. The bundle is supposed to be released mid-season and will not be available immediately after the update. The Season 5 update is slated for August 2, 2023. Generally, we can expect the mid-season update 5 weeks after the original update. Each season in Call of Duty Warzone lasts 10 weeks.
