Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson proved to be the epitome of altruism towards his fellow man, helping him swim through his hardships. The Rock reportedly gifted UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo a mansion in Miami.
Themba Gorimbo is a UFC fighter who is the true definition of rising from the rubble. He has struggled to make ends meet with just $7 in his account while training for his UFC fights.
He opened up about his financial crisis during the post-fight interview of UFC Vegas 73, that he faced a lot of adversity while traveling to America. He didn't even have money to travel to the gym.
Taking notice of Gorimbo's heart-wrenching struggles, 'The Rock' confided in him as he too has seen financially weak days back in his life. So, Rock promised to help him through his resources.
"This is f*n crazy to see and brings back many emotions and memories. I once had $7 bucks too. I’ve been there on that grind. Got your back, brother. I’ll help. You got this. I’ll be in touch."
And staying true to his word, Rock gifted a fully furnished mansion, located in Miami, to Gorimbo. He even paid Gorimbo a personal visit while he was in a gym session in Florida.
"We’ve never met but I had to fly to Miami to look this man @TheAnswerMMA in the eyes, hug him and shake his hand. I’ve been moved & motivated by his story. Very good and special day." tweeted Rock.
Gorimbo made his UFC debut earlier this year but lost his first fight against AJ Fletcher via unanimous decision. However, he made a grand comeback by defeating Takashi Sato in May.
