Marcus Rashford trusts Cristiano Ronaldo more than anyone to save his life from the penalty spot in the 90th Minute. The striker was featured in a video with Gary Neville for The Overlap channel on YouTube.
Marcus scored 30 goals last season for Manchester United, so it seemed fitting to ask him 30 questions. Neville joined Rashford during his walk at his training camp in Portugal. Rashford answered 30 Questions from Gary Neville where Cristiano Ronaldo was the answer on more than one occasion.
Among the 30 questions, one turned out to be a matter of life and death. Gary Neville asked, “If you had a penalty in the 90th minute to save your life, who would you choose to take the kick?” Rashford replied, “Cristiano Ronaldo.100%”

Another question in the interview was about the most famous name in Rashford’s phone book. The striker is friends with some famous athletes and rappers from around the world, but Rashford’s answer was his ex-teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Both answers shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Cristiano Ronaldo is known for being one of the best penalty-takers in the game and is also one of the most famous athletes in the world, if not the most famous.
Rashford and Neville also chatted about tattoos, Rashford’s favorite goal, and who controls the music in the dressing rooms. The Englishman is preparing to lead the forward line for Manchester United when the Premier League resumes next month.
Marcus Rashford stepped up at Manchester United after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo
The English forward was in the form of his life during the 2022/23 season for Manchester United. The 25-year-old was one of the league’s standout performers, scoring 17 goals in the Premier League.
Rashford took on the burden of leading the line for Manchester United after the controversial exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. The efforts of the Englishman were monumental in securing Manchester United’s return to the UEFA Champions League.
Rashford scored 30 goals and provided 11 assists in 56 appearances in all competitions for the English side. Some experts and fans have argued that Rashford’s performance has been better without the presence of the Portuguese superstar.
🗣 “When his attitude is right then he will do that.”

If we look at the numbers, since the return of Ronaldo to Manchester United from Juventus, Rashford played 42 games with Ronaldo in which he scored 12 goals and provided 5 assists. Since Ronaldo moved to Saudi Arabia, Rashford’s numbers saw a spike with 23 goals and 10 assists in 39 matches.
Manchester United’s performances also improved under Ten Hag post-Ronaldo. They finished 3rd in the table in 2022/23 which was an improvement from their 6th-place finish in the 2021/22 season.
Ten Hag is looking to improve the attacking lineup ahead of the start of the new season. He said during a press conference, “We are underperforming there, and we are aware of it, so others have to contribute also in that area, but therefore we are looking for more scoring abilities.”
Manchester United has been linked with Atalanta’s striker Rasmus Højlund in the last few weeks, while new reports of a loan move for Kylian Mbappe are also being speculated.
