Nate Diaz will make his professional boxing debut on August 5 inside American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, against Jake Paul. The bout will consist of 10 rounds, and both the boxers will step inside the ring with 10 oz gloves in the 185 lbs division.
While much has been said about Diaz getting the upper hand because of the ten rounds owing to his incredible cardio, fans believe that the weight difference could be huge for the Stockton Slugger, who stands the risk of getting knocked out for the first time in his professional career.

Nate Diaz and Jake Paul will step onto the scale, weighing 185 lbs. Needless to say, the official weigh-in does not reflect what they will truly weigh on the day of the fight.
What is the weight difference between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul?
Jake Paul weighed in at 186.5 lbs for his fight against Anderson Silva and came in at his career lowest at 183.6 lbs for his last fight against Tommy Fury.

Diaz, who has competed in the 155 lbs and 170 lbs divisions in his UFC career, was called a considerably “small” guy for the UFC’s welterweight division. Taking on Jake Paul in the boxing’s cruiserweight division (175 lbs – 200 lbs) at 38 years of age, it won’t be wrong to say that it’s a huge mismatch. Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn opined the same after he claimed that Jake Paul would “smoke” Nate Diaz in under four rounds.
Moreover, Nate Diaz has never competed in a professional boxing bout and showed signs of fatigue in his last few appearances in the UFC Octagon.

Moreover, one cannot simply overlook Jake Paul, who has time and again shown his true intent inside the boxing ring, taking on some of the greatest mixed martial artists and emerging victoriously. Paul’s only loss came against a young heavyweight prospect in the form of Tommy Fury in his last fight.
