Currently in a 2-year $121.77 million contract extension with Portland Trail Blazers in his 11th season, Damian Lillard has exercised a $48.79 million player option for the 2024–25 season.

Becoming an unrestricted free agent, the NBA All-Star has reached out to the Blazers with his willingness for a trade after averaging 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game this season.

With news of Lillard’s trade speculating up, some of the possible teams in discussion have shown their interest in acquiring the point guard coming off his career-best stats.

The Miami Heat have been in quite a discussion in Lillard’s trade talk with his preference and request to join them in exchange for a potential trade package benefiting the Blazers.

With Lillard’s link to the Miami Heat being a priority, the Brooklyn Nets have come forward on a three-team trade with the chance of acquiring the Heat's shooting guard Tyler Herro.

After a disappointing performance failed them to qualify in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Chicago Bulls acquisition of Lillard can help them recover from the ongoing loss pairing him with Zach LaVine.

Rumors of James Harden's potential exit from the Philadelphia 76ers might be a good chance for the Sixers to acquire the NBA star on their roster along with their most valuable player, Joel Embid.

With D'Angelo Russell becoming an unrestricted free agent this season, the Lakers could make a big move by acquiring the point guard with their star players Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
