Conor McGregor landed in unexpected trouble after his hyper-realistic skit with the Miami Heat mascot. But, according to the latest reports, Burnie the mascot is all well. The former two-division UFC champion claimed that he had sorted everything out with the mascot.
“The mascot is good. It was a skit, and all is well, I spent a lot of time with him afterwards, we talked it out, and everything is great. It was all part of the show!” Conor said in NYC on Tuesday.
The incident happened on Friday, during the halftime show of game 4 in the NBA finals. While ‘The Miami Heat’ and ‘Denver Nuggets’ were busy competing with each other, ‘The Notorious’, made a bizarre move to promote his newly launched pain relief spray.
Conor entered the scene with the mascot wearing gloves and knocked him out with his signature left hook. The KO was bad, hence the mascot was immediately escorted to ER. However, as per Conor’s claims, the whole thing was a preplanned skit and the mascot is also doing great.

Nevertheless, Miami Heat got something good out of the finals despite their loss. But the after-effects of the incident took a serious toll on Conor’s reputation on social media sites.
Jorge Masvidal ‘banned’ Conor McGregor after his gimmick
The Miami native Jorge Masvidal who is a former UFC fighter, a stupendous one, has reportedly taken Conor’s action in all seriousness. And, as a result, waged a raging war against him.
The former UFC fighter took to his Twitter handle to blast Conor publically. “Connor u f**king pu**y u came here and threw the chakras of the mascot and team so for that u banned bi*ch.”

And many MMA fans also agreed with what Masvidal had to say and expressed their concerns for Burnie. Others, however, had a more humourous take on Conor’s actions.
Jorge Masvidal was considered one of the strongest former fighters in UFC. The Street Jesus announced his retirement after losing against Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.
The UFC president Dana White has also expressed his views regarding the incident involving Conor in a public interview. “I saw the Deontay Wilder one too. What’s up with mascots wanting to get punched in the face by professional fighters? What do you expect?
Hence, White stood on his calm and indifferent stand while answering the issue to the public.
