Conor McGregor is one of the most beloved superstars of the UFC. For the last decade, he has been accumulating record-breaking numbers in every promotion he has appeared in. If there’s one thing the Irish star knows well, it’s selling a fight or anything he endorses. This is a major reason why the former two-division champion is relevant despite having a rough last couple of fights.
He recently made an appearance at the Kaseya Center to support the Miami Heat in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The UFC star was welcomed at center court to promote a pain relief spray called TIDL. After introducing the brand as one of the Miami Heat’s sponsors, Burnie, the wore mascot wore boxing gloves and approached McGregor.
The fighter punched Burnie to the ground before giving one final blow at the end. One fan reacted by saying, “Why couldn’t he do that to Khabib?” Here are other reactions.

Ultimately, it was all just an act as Conor McGregor sprayed Burnie with some TIDL cryotherapy pain relief spray. However, recent reports claim that The Notorious sent Burnie to the ER after the skit, but the latter came out with no major injuries at the end of the day. Unfortunately, along with Burnie, the Miami Heat also took a beating from the Denver Nuggets.
The Miami Heat mascot, Burnie, was sent to the ER last night after taking a hit from UFC fighter Conor McGregor during a midgame bit in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, per @sam_amick.

Right now, the Nuggets are up 3-1 in the series. This means that the Heat will have to win the next three games. Such situations have been very hard to get through in the past. Either way, the Heat’s playoff run has been nothing besides historic this season.
Conor McGregor shot hoops at the Madison Square Garden ahead of UFC 205
This isn’t the first time Conor McGregor has been associated with the NBA. Much like other athletes and celebrities, he also enjoys a bit of competitive basketball. Previously, he paid a visit to the iconic Madison Square Garden Arena in New York ahead of one of the biggest nights of his career. While he was at MSG, McGregor shot some hoops on the court. Shortly after that, the UFC witnessed a history.
During UFC 205, Conor was paired up against then Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez. McGregor was at his peak back then and he was the featherweight champion as well. He raced through the entire featherweight division and was known as a serious threat. Things got a bit heated between both superstars who exchanged numerous personal attacks during pre-fight press conferences.
Ultimately, Conor had a round two knockout against Alvarez to become the UFC’s first-ever two-division champion. Since then, McGregor jumped to the Welterweight Division. He was stripped of his titles due to inactivity. He also fought boxing legend, Floyd Mayweather. Conor lost to Floyd before making a return to capture the title from Khabib Nurmagomedov. He’s only had three fights in the UFC since then losing two to #2 ranked lightweight Dustin Poirier.
