It was almost five years ago when Insomniac Games released "Marvel's Spider-Man" exclusively for PS4, and the game was nothing less than record-breaking.
At the end of Part 1, Venom was teased when Norman went to a green chamber where he was experimenting on Harry for his terminal illness. A moving black goo in the tank appeared to be venom symbiote.
Spider-Man 2 expands the storyline as it dives deep into Peter's life as well as Miles after the spin-off Miles Morales. The official gameplay was revealed on Marvel's YouTube channel a few days ago.
The gameplay immediately raised the hype for the game. Moreover, Insomniac also confirmed that it is not their final product, as the release date of the game has yet to be announced.
Many more villains are rumored to be included, since the 2021 teaser confirmed Kraven: The Hunter as one of the main villains. The Lizard had already appeared in the teaser.
Other villains that might appear include the Green Goblin and Venom. As we see Peter Parker in the symbiote suit already, there is almost a certainty that venom will be a major villain in the storyline.
Moreover, the teaser also shows the effects of the symbiote suit on Peter, as his moves are way more aggressive and his interaction with civilians seems less caring than before. Miles also seems to notice that.
The sequel has widely expanded since its first part, which was limited only to Manhattan Island. The new part will expand across the East River and into Queens, and more will be included.
